After months of prayer, planning and preparation the team of visionary servant leaders from Canada, the US and Jamaica joined together to welcome the Lord in worship, ministry and networking for His Kingdom. We sensed the movement of His Spirit amongst us from the moment we met face to face.
The team from Fellowship Tabernacle, including Pastor Melody Miller, her dedicated administrative assistants, gracious hostesses, faith-filled prayer support team, and the inspirational worship artists poured themselves into this divinely empowered endeavor. Even before the conference began, He blended our hearts and voices together in harmony to reach into the lives of young women at The Women's Centre of Jamaica (for teen moms),Excelsior High School, where Hopelyn had been a student, and a friday morning mini-event which offered hope and purpose to more than 400 teenage women from the area public schools. Pastor Al Miller and members of the coaching team urged the teens to view themselves as 'special---uniquely designed by The Creator for His purposes'. Many responded to the invitation to surrender their lives to Him. Seeds of truth were sown in ready hearts and we expect a fruitful harvest as the team from Fel Tab follows up with them.
As the conference unfolded Friday night the coaches shared brief personal testimonies of how the Lord had used life experiences, relationships and training to equip them to function as leaders. Throughout the weekend it was evident that the Lord was moving amongst us as 'extraordinary divine encounters' spontaneously occurred. Personal heart to heart conversations where women shared their struggles, hopes and dreams were interwoven with the group and workshop sessions.
There was a beautiful exchange of spiritual gifting and blessings with a mutual appreciation of one another and all that He had poured into us, laying a strong foundation for future ministry together.
